Characterization of sound intensity acoustic sources in the field of refrigeration equipment and industrial installations

A more recent line of research is that related to the study and application of the acoustic intensimetry to the field of refrigeration.
After the study of the complex theory being the basis of the technique and of the industry regulations being the rules for its application, two preparatory research works were published, preparatory to a wide measurement campaign to be carried outo to reduce the acoustic impact of the refrigerators.

Satisfactory results have shown that the technique enables a proper assessment of the acoustical characteristics of refrigeration equipments enabling, even with measure in the field and not in an anechoic chamber, to identify the components or the behaviours causing the acoustical highest impacts and to implement countermeasures whose entities and ability of success can be quantified beforehand and verified experimentally, using the same technique or the traditional one (phonometry).

La caratterizzazione intensimetrica delle sorgenti acustiche nel settore delle macchine frigorifere e degli impianti industriali

Più recente linea di ricerca è quella avente ad oggetto lo studio e l'applicazione della tecnica dell'intensimetria acustica al campo delle macchine frigorifere.
Allo studio della complessa teoria a monte della stessa tecnica e delle normative di settore che ne regolano l'applicazione, sono seguiti due lavori propedeutici ad una vasta campagna di misura ai fini dell'abbattimento dell'impatto acustico sull'ambiente e sulle persone delle macchine frigorifere.

Risultati soddisfacenti hanno evidenziato quanto la tecnica consenta una valutazione corretta delle caratteristiche acustiche delle macchine frigorifere consentendo anche con misura in campo, e non in camera anecoica, di individuare i componenti o i comportamenti responsabili dell'inquinamento acustico maggiore e di procedere ad attuare contromisure la cui entità e capacità di successo può essere quantificata preventivamente e verificata sperimentalmente con la stessa tecnica o con tecnica fonometrica.
